Full Journal pdf1995-04-21 Senate Journal Page 1179 SJR 20 Senator Zharoff requested that the reconsideration on CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 20(RES) Relating to the Western Alaska Community Development Quota Program, the inshore/offshore allocation process, and the North Pacific Fishery Management Council Comprehensive Rationalization Program, be taken up. SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 20(RES) was before the Senate on reconsideration. 1995-04-21 Senate Journal Page 1180 SJR 20 Senator Zharoff moved that the resolution be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Senator Halford objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, the resolution was returned to second reading. Senator Zharoff offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 3, line 5: Insert new resolve: FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that any allocation of crab be made in concert with state management of the crab resources in the Bering Sea and not affect the state's ability to continue to manage those crab resources; and be it Senator Zharoff moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Without objection, Amendment No. 2 was adopted. CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 20(RES) am was automatically in third reading.
